Our 2018 New Year’s Resolutions and Goals
Making resolutions and setting goals are part of ringing in the New Year. But as much as we talk about it most people shy away from making definitive goals. Why? It’s mostly from the fear of being held accountable. No stated goals mean you don’t have to make a plan to actually accomplish anything.
Goal Setting Works
Research studies show that goal-setting really works. According to Andy Defrancesco, a successful CEO himself, writing goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, rewarding and timely increases the positive outcomes and the probability of your goals being attained.
The often cited Harvard Business School study followed an entire graduating class. Ten years after graduation the 3% of the class that had both written goals and a plan were making 10 times more than the rest of the class.
Mitchell Agency Goals
So as the Mitchell Agency Team sets its goals for 2018, we will be focusing on a couple of areas to help make working with us easier.
- We want each of our clients to get to know us better. So throughout the year, we’ll be posting profiles on each of our team members. We hope by getting to know us better, you’ll feel more comfortable reaching out to us when you have questions regarding your insurance needs.
- Throughout the year we’ll be doing blog posts that we hope will make our customer’s lives just a little easier. We’ll talk about end-of- life concerns, personal finance challenges, retirement planning, and of course, an insurance topic from time to time.
So as many of us set down our 2018 goals, let’s strive to accomplish those activities that mean the most to each of us and our families.
